How to Make a DIY Tissue Box Hideout

Here is how to make this adorable and fun hamster tissue box hideout. As you probably know, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a cute toy for your hamster, and this is one of Pika’s favourites.

First, you are going to need a tissue box. You can get one with a pretty pattern or you can paint it with nontoxic paint.  I chose this one for Chinese new year:

Around the rim of your tissue box you will notice a thin plastic strip that goes all the way around the inside of the box. Peel that off because it can be harmful for your hamster.

Next, you are going to want to cut the tissue box into two pieces, one a little taller than the other.

Now, take the smaller half and cut a hole in the back so that it matches the hole in the front.

Now, take your glue and glue the two halves together to create a hideout/tunnel for your hamster to play in.
